My name is Nikolaus Barton. I am an actor from Austria. I worked with Jan Fabre and Troubleyn in 2013 for the creation “Tragedy of a friendship”.
I would like to state that this experience has broadened my theatrical and also human horizon. It still is my most favorite work I have been in.
Jan Fabre’s style of working and his choice of words have often been tough to deal with. But he never crossed the line to a private aspect. I always felt it was for my benefit as a performer and also for the higher good of the performance. It was like shaping a diamond.
I am entirely grateful for having had the opportunity to work with Jan Fabre and would do it again anytime he would approach me.
