The Injustice has Not Only Happened to Jan Fabre, but Also to His Art
What is your general opinion of the verdict against Jan Fabre? Do you think it is just and why? I do not think the verdict is just because I know well the sequence of events that preceded this verdict. In the last 40 years, Jan Fabre has crossed boundaries in his artistic work by re- examining personal and social dimensions. On the other hand, there are transitions that, in order to define certain shifts, require quite rigid definitions of their own missions. Et la seule chose nouvelle qui surgit est la clémence, la clémence qui émerge de la conviction que tu ne peux pas t’exclure de la responsabilité de ceux qui sont blessés, de...

In 2012 I started to work in Troubleyn, with Jan Fabre. The time I spent with this company are among the best moments of my life, as an artist and as a human. If I had to choose one word to describe this time, it would be: "Extraordinary".Meaning: Out of the ordinary. If I were to try and describe to someone who had never experienced a similar creative endeavor (friends, family...
